  1. Pre-cut and prep!
Precut any raw veggies you enjoy eating and have them stored in glass containers ready for snacking. Think carrots, celery, radish, capsicum and even cucumber. Keeping them stored front and center in your fridge will serve as a quick and healthy grab and go snack!
  2. One Pan cooking!
Thinks a big pan of roast vegetables and a stir-fry. It is super easy to load up on all the colours of the rainbow with this style of cooking.
  1. Greens over grains!
Replace grains with greens or comparable veggie options. Once you get the hang of making swaps you will wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Replace wraps with lettuce leaves, rice with cauliflower or veggie rice and replace spaghetti with zucchini noodles.

  2. Meatless Monday!
Introduce 1-2 meals a week without meat, you will be surprised how many more vegetables you will consume this way! Plus it is a fun way to learn new recipes to introduce to your repertoire.

  3. Get Juicing!
Juicing is not only a great way to give your digestion a break, but a wonderful way to load up on heaps of extra veggies. Veggies we love to use include, celery, beetroot, kale, spinach, cucumber, ginger, swiss chard, cabbage, broccoli, and parsley.

  4. Start your day with veggies!
We all can forgiven for forgetting to include veggies in our morning rituals, however doing so gives you a great advantage for the rest of the day. Swap toast for sweet potatoes, or include spinach or broccoli in your omelet. Better still why not prepare ahead with a frittata packed full of veggies? Such a great way to start the day.

  5. Salads in summer and soups for winter!
There is simply no better way to get your 5 serves than eating a salad or soup for lunch everyday.

  6. Get sassy with sauces!
Puree vegetables like carrots, carrot tops, sweet potatoes or cauliflower and mix them into sauces such as pesto, pasta sauces – think cauli alfredo or veggie rich tomato based sauces.

  7. Become a smooth-ie operator!
If you start your day with a smoothie, why not blend in some leafy greens! They add lots of nutrients without overpowering your favourite fruity flavours. We particularly love kale, spinach, cauliflower and avocados. Hot tip, strawberry and cauliflower are an amazing combo giving you a really smooth and creamy strawberry smoothie – YUM!

  8. Switch it up!
Instead of thinking of your protein as the star of the show, make veggies your main priority filling a 50-75% of your plate. Protein should only account for 25% of any meal.
