September Seasonal Update

Sep 06, 2024

We are officially in Spring - yay! The temperature has begun to warm up and we're just loving it.

We are now transitioning from winter to summer crops, and so you will start to see some different items available in your boxes and at the farmers markets as well. Bring on the yummy summer fruits we all love!

🍎 Fruit

A big hello and welcome back to the ultimate summer fruit - watermelon! We're so excited for this fruits season and are already starting to receive some baby watermelons.

We still have late season citrus available from Neil and Tanya out at Gayndah! September usually means the abundance of citrus will start slowing down soon and we will switch to southern growers. Be sure to get in and enjoy the sweet Queensland oranges, grapefruit, and mandarins while they last.

The local avocado season has been short, with a decrease in quantity and size. This will continue over the next month.

Limes are still unavailable as it is coming to their end of their season.

We've got some delicious passionfruits and strawberries that are now available, with more berries coming!

Pears are still available and still looking great. We've got an abundance of medjool dates with us as well!

🥦 Veggies

absolutely beautiful silverbeet, curly kale, black kale, choi, baby spinach, plus cos and salad

Beautiful, ripe Noosa Red tomatoes have arrived and they're as delicious as ever. The season is looking good, so we're super excited for an abundance of these beauties. We highly recommend getting your hands on them, they're just too good!

Unfortunately, the garlic pricing is very high right now as it is their end of season so we'll most likely only have a small amount available.

We're now transitioning into the new season onions so we'll see an improvement in quality with those, which is great!

Broccoli and Cauliflower are are looking incredible at the moment so we highly recommend getting your hands on these if you can!

Rhubarb has begun to phase out so they will become unavailable very soon :(

Beetroot bunches and purple broccolini are available and looking gorgeous!

Other staple veggies such as potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, cabbagered capsicum will remain steady and in good quality! Perfect veggies to throw in a roast for dinner - yum!

As always, if you have any questions about seasonal availability simply shoot us a message or ask our team at market 😃
