November Seasonal Update

Nov 01, 2024

As we move into the end of spring, there is some beautiful produce coming through our doors. We are currently sourcing primarily from the Sunshine Coast region, Stanthorpe, and the Lockyer valley, with a few things coming up from the Mornington Peninsula.

From a heap of biodynamic local leafy greens, gorgeous watermelons, and crunchy carrots, we are loving what's on the way and we know you will too!

🍉 Fruit

The fruit is going to get better from here on out as it continues to warm up!

Through November, we're anticipating that we will have a steady supply of QLD bananas, papayas, and avocados.

Watermelons should be a staple for the next few months, and we will likely have a few different varieties available including the tiny sugar melons and beautiful yellow champagne watermelons plus more.

No stone fruit, mangoes, or grapes just yet, but you can bet that they'll be around closer to Christmas! We can't wait 😆

🥬 Veggies

This year we are seeing absolutely incredible asparagus! It is tender and full of flavour, so be sure to try some while it's in season.

We have amazing broccoli and baby broccoli coming in that we know you'll love! Lately there's been a cauliflower shortage that is just due to weather and normal seasonal variability, so why not sub broccoli in your recipes instead?!

Our favourite locally grown Noosa reds tomatoes are still available in abundance - don't forget to get your hands on them at the farmers markets!

Local Queensland grown leafy greens are absolutely gorgeous and will continue to be available in abundance this month! Many of our lettuces and herbs are being sourced from The Beach Farm in Noosa, which is a certified organic AND biodynamic farm 👏

Last month we had a shortage of sweet potatoes due to some nasty weather, but our supply seems to be returning to normal thank goodness. These are favourites around here and we know you love them too! 😆

Other veggies available in abundance include beetroot, carrots, dutch cream & sebago potatoes, zucchini, and red & green capsicums!

This just about covers everything for the month! As always, if you have any questions about seasonal availability simply shoot us a message or ask our team at market 😃
