These are our guiding lights, and that is one of the reasons we are proud supporters of Urban Angels Community Kitchen here on the Sunshine Coast!
This incredible organisation is currently distributing over 12,000 meals each month door to door throughout the Sunshine Coast region to those who need support.
Their powerhouse team of volunteers prepares, cooks, packs, and delivers frozen meals to those in need, and their work nourishes our beautiful community.
We have known from our beginning that food is powerful both within our bodies and in our communities. It has the ability to help lift people out of difficult times and move us towards healing.
This is something that Urban Angels is passionate about. "The gift of a meal not only nourishes but also helps those in need to feel supported and not so alone. Feedback from recipients of our meals indicates that this small gesture of providing a meal has helped those in distress to move closer to inner healing. The compassion of our volunteers who help prepare and distribute the food is transmitted through it and helps more than perhaps we can readily appreciate."
